Had an absolutely fantastic father-son date night at Dara's Bistro in Cumberland, Maine! We kicked things off with a perfect Old Fashioned and the best Bee’s Knees I’ve ever had—both were expertly crafted and set the tone for an amazing evening. The food was equally impressive! The land and sea options satisfied these beef experts and seafood lovers alike. Son and I shared the sourdough, quail, shrimp and mussels, and the beef tenderloin—every dish was flavorful, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. We wrapped up with creme brulee and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, paired with a buttered rum that complemented the brulee and pudding perfectly. From start to finish, the drinks , food , and atmosphere were outstanding. Highly recommend Dara's Bistro for a memorable dining experience—we’ll definitely be back!
Great food and high quality ingredients, cashiers are hit or miss--some need some customer service training. Others are outstanding and welcoming!
Best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Sandwich and coffee were both great. Busy on weekends so come early or get to go. Weekday visit for breakfast was a treat and plenty of seating and really relaxing atmosphere
What a gem in Cumberland! Dara Bistro is open for casual breakfast 7-11 am during the week and fancy dinners later in the day. You can get bagels with cream cheese, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, or scones and muffins. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheddar, and bacon on a biscuit and it was excellent! The biscuit was light and fluffy and the sandwich was super tasty. They also offer hot and cold coffees (Coffee By Design coffee) and teas with non-dairy milk as an option. I will definitely return soon!
Had a lovely dinner at Dara Bistro during our stay in Freeport. The atmosphere, service, and food were all exceptional. We tried almost everything on the menu and cleaned every plate. Great options for the two vegetarians in our group and amazing dessert. Nice wine, beer, and cocktail options as well.
The dilly bean tempura was absolutely fantastic. Great intimate little spot. Open kitchen that is subtly cooking your next great meal in the corner
Good drinks and great food. Highly recommend, and we look forward to eating here again soon! Ps- limited kids menu, but ours didn't complain.
We can’t recommended this place enough. High end food and service with wide open parking and not even 10 miles from Portland. Smooth atmosphere, ambiance, from the appetizers to the dessert an on point curated selection of food and libations without being pretentious. We had the pot pie interpretation and the prickly things app was SO GOOD plus the tomato chutney was something I never had but now need a jar. I wanted to try everyone!
